The shipper, consignee, agent, carrier, and station  profiles store business rules (credit, rates, contract rates, charges, addresses, handling instructions, notifications, documents, commissions, profit share, notes, etc.) and automatically applies them to new shipments (based on shipment quantities - overrides are allowed), eliminating manual  records at each user's desk, and providing greater accuracy with significantly reduced data entry. Charges are automatically recalculated if shipment quantities are changed. Staff members become much more interchangeable.
